The inspiration for Coaches for Cancer Research was my late sister, Julia.
Despite going into hospital in late 2020, Julia’s diagnosis with pancreatic cancer wasn’t confirmed until March 2021 and she died of this disease 15 months later.
Pancreatic cancer is a form of cancer that is very hard to diagnose in the early stages and has a 5 year survival rate of merely 5%.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is the headline sponsor for the 2025 London Marathon, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to raise money toward development of more effective testing for this disease so I decided to donate a portion of my coaching fees for the next 9 months.

As I shared my idea with other coaching colleagues, their support and willingness to contribute was touching. Out of this I founded the initiative “Coaches for Cancer Research”, so now you have the option to book a coaching session with all fees going to our fund raising efforts.
